Angie Schoofs Stemberg (1973-2022)
Angie Schoofs Stemberg was born in West Bend, IN and attended Kewaskum High School where she discovered her love for theatre and music. After graduating, Angie worked in many theaters in the Midwest including Silver Dollar City, in Branson, MO. In 1998, she made Chicago her permanent home and some of her favorite roles include, Marty in “Grease,” and Adelaide in “Guys and Dolls.” She also did national musical tours, commercial work, costume design and roles as director and choreographer. She was very proud of her work at Peninsula Players in Door County, doing plays which included, “Chicago” and “Cabaret.”
After 20 years in theater she shifted her focus to real estate as a staging designer where her attention to detail was a great bonus. Angie loved to travel including Mexico, Italy, England and the US. Her great loves were also cooking and sewing. After her passing her family and friends planted a memorial vegetable garden consisting of Roma tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, basil, red bell peppers, eggplant, rosemary, squash, zucchini, lavender, leeks, chives, and sweet potatoes! She considered her garden her “little slice of heaven in the big city.” |
