Died: March 30, 2019 Patricia A. Patton was an Actress, Dancer, Seamstress, Designer, Artist, Nurturer, Loving Mom, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Niece, Friend and much more. Some of her acting credits include Death of a King’s Horseman (Goodman Theater), Cinderella Brown (Forum Theater), staged readings at Her Story Theater and American Blues Theater, and as a featured dancer in the film The Blues Brothers. Pat worked with Free Street Theater. While living in New York Patricia studied dance with Alvin Ailey and in Chicago she studied with Hubbard Street and Ruth Page. Preceding her in death, mom, Mary Scott; dad, Osba Patton Sr.; and brother, Osba Patton Jr. Left behind to cherish her memory, son, Maceo Yusef Smith; 4 grandchildren, Kiara Newson, Eliyah Newson-Smith, Salathea Smith & Ninti Smith-El; 10 grandchildren; siblings, Erma Patton, Luster Patton & sister-in-law, Patricia Arttaway-Handy (Grover), mother in-law, Helen Arttaway; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins & friends and Vogue Fabrics family. |
